Landscape painting gives you a chance to slow down and really look at the world around you. You start noticing how the color of a distant mountain changes in haze, how sunlight moves across a field, how water reflects the sky, and how a tree becomes a simple silhouette at sunset. Those observations are part of learning to paint.
